Nelson Engineering performed hydraulic design for 140-foot span three lane plus highway pathway bridge. Directed survey efforts for hydraulic modeling, constructed hydraulic model using HEC-RAS. Designed bridge opening and bypass culverts to meet 100 year flood no-rise condition met. Performed scour analysis for abutment and pier design. Directed and performed geotechnical investigation. Designed driven pile abutment foundations using LRFD methodology per AASHTO standards.
