Services/Disciplines: Environmental Site Assessment
Nelson Engineering is qualified to complete Phase I, Phase II and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments, with the stated purpose to identify and assess any recognized environmental conditions that may exist or influence a property.
Nelson Engineering will assess properties for the presence, likely presence, or historical evidence of hazardous substances or petroleum products, including the release of products into structures on the property, or into the ground, groundwater, or surface water of the property. The assessment is not intended to include de minimis conditions that do not present a material risk of harm to public health or the environment and that generally would not be the subject of an enforcement action if brought to the attention of appropriate governmental agencies.
Nelson Engineering will utilize an investigative methodology that is prescribed by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard E 1527-05. This practice is recognized to define the good commercial and customary techniques for conducting an environmental site assessment on a parcel of commercial real estate with respect to the range of contaminants as defined in the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and petroleum products.
