Site civil engineering requires an awareness of the needs and desires of the client(s), a full knowledge of the particulars of the site, and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other design professionals.  It also requires a complete understanding of regulatory approval and permitting processes, as well as the patience, public presentation ability, and interpersonal skills to shepherd a project through those processes.

Nelson Engineering has the engineering, surveying, construction contract administration, and inspection and testing experience, staff, and resources necessary to successfully perform site civil engineering on a wide variety of project types.  Four commercial development-related site civil engineering projects with which Nelson Engineering was associated are described below:

Lander Business Park

Nelson Engineering led a multi-disciplinary team that was responsible for the site planning, design of public infrastructure (streets, sidewalks, on-street parking, water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, electric, and gas), and platting of the Lander Business Park, which is a mixed-use commercial redevelopment of the former Lander High School site.  This project was funded by a Wyoming Business Council Business-ready Community Grant.

First Bank of the Tetons

Nelson Engineering was responsible for the site civil engineering for this project, including site planning, vehicular circulation, grading, drainage (including off-site storm drainage improvements), utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and electric), and paving.

Rocky Mountain Bank
